The simplest way to save energy is to turn off anything that does not need to beon. Here are some nifty little suggestions you can follow in order to save more energy:
Quick Tips
- Selecting flat-bottomed pans that fit the heating units.
- Using lids to retain heat and decrease cooking time.
- Adjusting lighting levels to match different needs at different times.
- Closing windows and exterior doors when you use air-conditioning. Keeping the air-conditioning filter clean.
- Cooling foods to room temperature before placing them in the refrigerator (unless the recipe specifies otherwise).
- Finally, it is always a good idea to hang on to appliance manuals so you can refer to them for care information and possible energy saving tips.

Prevent oil from dripping onto your cupboards
Wrap paper towels around your cooking oil bottle and tie them with a rubberband. The paper will absorb the drips and thus prevent them from getting into your cupboards.

Ink Stain. Removing ink from most surfaces
There are quite a few tips for removing ink stains from all types of surface. You may find it a trial and error process but you will get there in the end with one of these tips
You can use rubbing alcohol to dab on the stained area and watch the stain lift right out! Using a cotton ball, paper towel or a qtip is easiest.
You can also remove ink stains on colored fabrics by soaking the the material in milk overnight and then launder as usual.
If your ink stain is on a white material, use a bit of lemon juice and salt made into a paste and then rub the ink stained area. Letting the material hang dry in the sun will leave your white material quite stain free!
I have found that hairspray will dissolve ball point pen ink. I have used it to easily remove ink from painted walls and from clothing
To remove ink marks from a wall apply toothpaste to the marks and wait 30 minutes then wipe clean.
To remove ball point pen, semi permanent marker, or felt tip ink is easy using hair spray over the area and the dab it up with a towel. If you still have a bit of ink stain left, you can pour some milk over the area to lift the remaining ink. You can also use this tip when you have ball point ink on your furniture or on the car seats!

Make your own air freshener
Yes! Why waste money on commercial products when you can make your own air deodorizer. Use a regular pump spray mister with 4 cups of water in it, add 4 teaspoons of baking soda and spray the odours away. This will not mask an odor it will remove an odour. Which is what is needed.
Another probably stronger air freshener is as follows; use 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon vinegar and 2 cups of water. After it stops foaming, mix well, pour into a spray bottle and spray into the air.
